Lehman-Roberts Receives Recognition from MAPA for Interstate Overlay

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Lehman-Roberts, a Granite Company (NYSE:GVA), and a leader in the Mid-South highway paving and asphalt industries, received the award of Best Interstate Mill and Overlay from the Mississippi Asphalt Pavement Association (MAPA). The award was presented at MAPA’s 2024 Quality Asphalt Conference.

“Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of drivers is our paramount priority,” said Jeremy Ramberg, Vice President of Construction. “This accolade is a testament to our unwavering commitment to providing top-quality roadways for Mississippi taxpayers and the motoring public.”

Lehman-Roberts won the award for the Interstate 55 project (I-55) in Carroll County, Mississippi, which was led by project manager Eric Lowstuter and with crews led by Walter Shoemaker and Levester “Duke” Watt. This mill and overlay project, which was approximately 6 miles long, began 0.5 miles south of the SR 35 interchange to the Montgomery County line.
