The National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) recently announced that Lehman-Roberts, a Granite Company, won a 2025 Quality in Construction Award for excellence in the construction of an asphalt pavement. The company was recognized during the association’s 71st annual meeting.

Each project honored with a Quality in Construction Award is rigorously evaluated against the highest industry standards, reflecting an unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Pat Nelson, 2025 NAPA Chairman.
The Lehman-Roberts team won the award for the resurfacing on US 51 in Covington, Tennessee. This project, completed by the Collins, Jones, and Barajas teams, involved milling and overlaying an existing four-lane divided highway extending south of and terminating in the city of Covington, TN.
Once full milling operations began, the company had to repave the road within 96 hours. The project mixes incorporated reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP), a sustainable paving practice that conserves natural resources, cuts emissions, reduces landfill waste and improves pavement longevity. Lehman-Roberts coordinated its schedule with multiple subcontractors performing bridge repairs to ensure that no lane closure conflicts occurred. It produced a high-quality asphalt pavement that provides a smooth ride for area motorists.
