Our employee recognition series, Blueprint for Excellence, shines a spotlight on team members who go above and beyond, lead by example, and bring our core values to life through their actions every day. This month, we’re proud to recognize Joseph “Bo” Williamson for the positive impact he makes on his team, his commitment to safety, and the example he sets through his work.
As a Plant Operator, Bo has spent the past 16 years building a reputation as someone his teammates can rely on. His strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in his work have made him a trusted member of the asphalt plants team and a key contributor to the success of the operation.
According to Assistant Superintendent John Havas, Bo’s dedication is evident every day. “Bo is the team member who you can count on to be at work every day, always early, and always ready to give 110 percent. He takes pride in his work and makes sure our plant equipment is always well taken care of.”
Beyond his day-to-day responsibilities, Bo is known for stepping up wherever needed to support his team. Whether he’s maintaining equipment, taking on additional responsibilities, or helping solve challenges as they arise, he approaches each task with a commitment to quality and a team-first mindset.
That willingness to grow and tackle new challenges has been especially evident in recent months. “Bo has continued to take on new responsibilities. He has leaned in, asked questions, and committed himself to learning,” said EHS Director Eric Allen. “He continues to embrace the process from start to finish and has done an outstanding job leading others. Bo has also been a strong safety champion, consistently identifying opportunities to make us even safer and recognizing STCKY hazards to protect the well-being of our team.”
Bo’s commitment to safety, continuous learning, and supporting those around him has earned the respect of teammates and leaders alike. Superintendent Blake Kimbrough echoed those sentiments. “Bo is the kind of employee every plant wants on their team. He comes to work each day with a strong work ethic and a willingness to do whatever is needed. He takes pride in his work and always follows through. He is dependable, and we can always count on Bo, no matter the task.”
Throughout his career and roles within the company, Bo has consistently demonstrated the qualities that Blueprint for Excellence was created to recognize. From his reliability and dedication to his focus on safety and willingness to embrace new challenges, he continues to make a positive impact on both his team and our asphalt plants division.
