That is exactly why Cory Collins has been recognized this month in our Blueprint for Excellence series.
As a leader in the Quality Control department, Cory has earned the respect of his team through his extensive expertise, proactive problem-solving, and dedication to building a strong culture. Johnny Houston, Quality Control Manager for Outgoing Materials, shared, “Cory has done a tremendous job leading the QC department. His clarity in what’s expected and the hiring of new personnel have led to the strongest team in my tenure at Lehman-Roberts.“
Pitt Kimbrough, Quality Control Manager for Incoming Materials, echoed that sentiment, noting his impact over the years. “It has been a genuine privilege to work alongside Cory for the past 17 years. Throughout that time, he has consistently demonstrated the qualities that make an exceptional director and leader. He‘s very knowledgeable in his field and brings that expertise to every challenge. Equally important is his strong concern for safety. He approaches every task with a careful, responsible mindset that prioritizes the well-being of our QC team and the integrity of the work.“
Beyond his high-level leadership and attention to detail, Cory is known for being incredibly approachable on a day-to-day basis. Mechanic Chris White, who nominated Cory for this spotlight, shared, “Cory is helpful, friendly, and treats everyone equally. He is always willing to lend a hand, even when it comes to technology and other devices. He also encourages the team to continue getting better and in a safe manner. He’s easy to talk to and gives good advice. Cory is an all-around good person with a great personality.“
Cory‘s leadership extends far beyond his daily work, as he plays a key role in connecting Lehman-Roberts with multiple nonprofits in the Northern Mississippi area. VP of Manufacturing and Quality Control Don Fletcher perfectly summarized this broader impact: “Cory‘s impact goes far beyond his daily responsibilities. He embodies our core values, not only in how he leads our Quality Control efforts but in how he represents Lehman-Roberts in the Northern Mississippi community. We are incredibly proud of the culture he fosters both inside and outside the lab.“
