As a third-generation member of our team, Blake began his career with Lehman-Roberts, A Granite Company, more than 16 years ago. Beginning as a member of a road grading team, Blake was first introduced to our industry by running a shoulder gravel spreader. He then transitioned to Asphalt Plant 1 (Winona, MS) as a groundman before advancing to ticket writer. Through his steady progression of plant knowledge and leadership, Blake was promoted to plant foreman and later Assistant Superintendent of our asphalt plants division.
We’re excited to share that Blake Kimbrough has now been promoted to Superintendent of Asphalt Plants.
Superintendent Howard Green, who has been training Blake for years to take on this responsibility, shared high praise for his successor, “He is very dedicated and looks for the good in the company in everything he does. He’s been training for this job for years, and it will be a better place when he leaves than when he started.”
Howard continued, “I can’t think of anyone better to fill these shoes after I retire. He does an excellent job and has ideas for the upcoming years to make the plants even better than they are now.”
Blake’s promotion not only honors his years of hard work and commitment but also continues a family tradition of service and leadership within the company. His colleagues admire not just his knowledge, but also his willingness to lend a hand whenever needed. Throughout his career, Blake has consistently led with empathy and immense care for our people, taking pride in each individual’s success.
With a deep respect for the industry, Blake is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, learning, and craftsmanship. He takes pride in training others to master the details of asphalt production and is always willing to share his expertise.
