Blueprint for Excellence: Contravion “Tray” Saulsberry

Our employee of the month series, Blueprint for Excellence, shines a spotlight on team members who go above and beyond, lead by example, and champion our core values in everything they do.

At Plant 6 in Hernando, MS, Contravion “Tray” Saulsberry has become known as someone others can rely on. Whether it’s a routine assignment or a new challenge, Tray is always willing to step in and help keep operations moving. That approach, along with the trust he has built among those around him, is why he has been selected as this month’s Blueprint for Excellence honoree.

Day after day, Tray has earned the respect of those around him by being someone people can count on. When a job needs attention, he’s the kind of person who leans in, bringing the same focus and determination regardless of what the day brings.

Easton Casey, who works alongside Tray at Plant 6 and nominated him for this recognition, shared, “Tray is a hard worker who takes pride in his work. He always steps up to any task no matter the circumstances. Overall, Tray always has a positive attitude and has a positive impact on everyone else around him.”

Company leaders have also recognized Tray’s efforts. Adam Webb, Assistant Superintendent, described, “Tray is the type of teammate everyone would want on their crew. He shows up every day ready to work and consistently does what it takes to get the job done. This is a very well-deserved recognition.”

That mentality recently opened the door to a new opportunity as Plant Operator. As he learns the position and takes on additional responsibilities, he has approached the transition the same way he approaches everything else: by setting the same standard each day, displaying our core values, and continuing to build his knowledge.

Asphalt Plant Superintendent Blake Kimbrough added, “Tray continues to show a willingness to learn, a great attitude, and a strong work ethic. We’re excited to see him continue to grow as a valuable member of our asphalt plants division.”

Tray’s story is a reminder that excellence is often built through consistency. The trust he has earned at Plant 6 and his recent transition into a new role speak to the impact he continues to make on the team. Congratulations, Tray, and thank you for the example you set at Plant 6 each day!
