We are proud to announce the promotion of Julio Rios to Asphalt Plant 10 Foreman at Lehman-Roberts, A Granite Company. Over the past four years, Julio has steadily earned greater responsibility, beginning as a groundman and most recently leading plant operations as leadman over the past year.
As Foreman for Plant 10 in Byhalia, Mississippi, Julio will continue building on the strong foundation he has already put in place, leading with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement. He is known for his willingness to learn, his strong sense of responsibility, and his steady commitment to doing things the right way, all of which have prepared him well for this next step.
“Julio demonstrates our core value of integrity and has a long runway ahead of him in his career,” shared Don Fletcher, VP of Manufacturing and Quality Control. “He has been running the plant for a year as a leadman and has taken on a lot of responsibility. He is always learning, always willing, and never has anything negative to say. He is truly respected across our team.”
That respect is rooted in the way Julio shows up every day. He leads with consistency, stays engaged, and makes time to help others succeed, whether that means mentoring newer team members, sharing what he has learned, or stepping up when the team needs him most.
“He is a good mentor to our new team members and is open to learn in conversations about things he does not yet know,” Fletcher added. “He listens, pays attention to safety, and looks out for the people around him. We’re really proud of Julio and excited to see how he continues to grow in this role.”
His leadership is something his teammates and supervisors have seen firsthand. “Julio has consistently demonstrated his commitment to safety and is always willing to learn more,” said Blake Kimbrough, Superintendent. “His work ethic and ability to lead his team effectively make him a great fit for Plant 10 Foreman. We’re excited for his future and to see him continue growing as a leader.”
