Lehman Roberts, A Granite Company, is proud to celebrate the retirement of Billy Wayne Riggs after twenty-five years of dedicated service. Billy is widely known across the company as an exceptional operator whose dependability was truly second to none.
Billy’s team members knew they could always count on him, no matter what the day required. Whether the work was routine or fast-paced, Billy approached each task with consistency, pride, and a strong sense of responsibility. General Superintendent Jarod “JJ” Riles praised both Billy’s skill and his incredible reliability over the years. “Billy was one of the best rubber tire roller operators I’ve seen,” JJ shared. “In addition, he owned the equipment wash rack in the wintertime and was always at work.” That level of dependability and attention to detail played a key role in keeping operations and equipment running smoothly.
Billy was widely known for the pride he took in his equipment and his unwavering commitment to Total Process Reliability. His machinery was always clean, well-maintained, and ready to go, reflecting the care he brought to every part of his job. Paving Foreman Ronnie Stark emphasized that Billy’s dedication showed up every single day. “Billy Wayne is an employee who showed up every day and gave his all,” Ronnie noted. “He was adamant about Total Process Reliability and the equipment he took care of. His work attitude and ethic will be missed by the entire team.” Billy’s standards set an example for those around him and helped reinforce a culture of accountability and excellence.
Assistant Superintendent Woody Franklin recalled their many years working together with appreciation and respect. “I had the pleasure of working around Billy for 25 years,” he shared. “You could always count on Billy, no matter what task he was performing for the day. You could find him working around the paver or up ahead [on the job site], helping get things ready ahead of the paver. However, most of the time you would see him up on his rubber tire roller with a smile on his face.”
Woody also added, “He took pride in keeping his equipment clean and in good shape. We wish him the best in this new chapter of his life.”
Billy’s steady presence, strong work ethic, and pride in his craft made a lasting impact on everyone who worked alongside him. We congratulate Billy on a phenomenal twenty‑five‑year career and wish him the absolute happiest of retirements!
