In May, we had a wonderful time at our company picnic, a tradition that has been an annual part of our company for a decade. Employees from both Lehman-Roberts, a Granite Company, and sister company Memphis Stone & Gravel, along with their loved ones, joined together for a fantastic day of fellowship at Cedar Hill Farm. After all the hard work our team continues to put in throughout the year, it was a joy to unwind and spend the day socializing and relaxing with our loved ones and coworkers.
In addition to our delicious crawfish boil, we enjoyed a variety of fun activities for everyone, which included hayrides and fishing. For the adventurous, there was a rock wall to climb, and for those interested in testing their aim, there was a paintball target range. It was also special to see our younger guests interacting with the petting zoo and pony rides.
The highlight of the day was our first-ever equipment operator competition, which added a friendly spirit of competition to the festivities. Congratulations are in order for Dylan Robinson, grade crew foreman, who took home the first-place prize belt!
The event was a huge success, and we thank everyone who had a hand in making this day happen. We’re already looking forward to next year’s picnic!
