Matt Cox Promoted to Director of Asset Management

MEMPHIS, Tenn., May 31, 2016 – Lehman-Roberts Co., leader in the highway construction and aggregate field, has promoted Matt Cox to Director of Asset Management. Cox most recently served as total process reliability coordinator for three years. He reports to Pat Nelson, President of Lehman-Roberts Company.

“Matt’s extensive and unique experience make him an excellent fit for this position,” said Nelson. “His energy and strong work ethic will serve him well in this new role, and we look forward to his success on behalf of the company.”

As Director of Asset Management, Cox is responsible for providing the operations team with the rolling stock necessary to complete all projects. He is also in charge of purchasing the required equipment with the greatest economic value, maintaining nearly 600 pieces of rolling stock and disposing of equipment as necessary.

In his previous role, Cox was instrumental in coordinating events geared toward employee training on equipment maintenance and worked closely with former director of asset management, Richard Moore. Prior to joining Lehman-Roberts Co., Cox worked as an inside sales manager for two years after spending 15 years in the Army as an officer and medical evacuation pilot.

Cox graduated from Dana College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and philosophy. Additionally, he received an MBA from the University of Memphis. Cox currently serves on the finance committee at Volunteer Odyssey.
