MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 14, 2019 – Lehman-Roberts Co., a leader in the highway paving, construction, asphalt and aggregate industry, has promoted Greg Ketchum to Grading Crew Foreman and Ricky Pike and Leroy Shaw to Asphalt Plant Foreman. Ketchum reports to Jarod Riles, Northern Construction Superintendent. Pike and Shaw report to Howard Green, Northern Plant Superintendent.
“Together, these men have more than 40 years’ experience with our company,” said Pat Nelson, President and Chairman of the Board for Lehman-Roberts Co. “The dedication and institutional knowledge they possess is invaluable. Ketchum joined Lehman-Roberts in 2008 and has spent the past nine years working on a paving crew, where he exemplified the adaptability and leadership skills needed to transition into this new role. As Grading Crew Foreman, he will supervise field operations and coordinate activities of the grading crew.
“Greg has always been very dependable and very sharp,” said Riles. He has worked on a paving crew for years but moving him to a run a grading crew meant he had to learn and adapt. He has such an innate ability to think things through that he adapted very well.”
Since joining Lehman-Roberts in 2006, Pike has worked at three of the company’s asphalt production plants, where he has played an integral role in some of the largest jobs in company history.
“Ricky has been one of the most versatile employees I’ve ever worked with,” said Green. “He learned a lot by moving around, and he’s always looking for new ideas.”
Shaw has been with Lehman-Roberts since 2002, and has held multiple positions at the company’s asphalt plants throughout the years, demonstrating exceptional leadership and organizational skills.
“Leroy’s willingness to go the extra mile has only strengthened his reputation among his peers internally, as well as the company’s reputation with our customers and neighbors,” said John Paul Finerson, VP of Northern Operations.
Pike will oversee Plant 10 in Byhalia, Mississippi, while Shaw will lead Plant 6 in Hernando, Mississippi. As Asphalt Plant Foremen, they will manage all aspects of the plants, ensuring product quality and the safety of all employees.
